Hens Do Page Updated
Updated page on UK Site.
One of the main responsibilities of the bridesmaids is to organize a hens do or party for the bride. Although there are many ways to celebrate the bride’s closing freedom, the most common is to hold a hen’s do – a night of drinking and mayhem. If you are the one organizing the hen’s night out, these are the basics to keep in mind.
Guest List
Compile a list of all the people that the bride would want to be present at the hens night. Her friends, coworkers, sisters, etc. should be included. Don’t forget to include the bride’s female family members. In addition, you should invite any female relatives on the groom’s side of the family, such as his mother and sisters, that you think may want to attend the hens Do. Before finalizing it, be sure that you show the bride the guest list.
Choose A Date And Venue
With the bride’s advise, choose the date and place for the Hen Do Party. Do not have the hens night on the night prior to the wedding! Once the theme is chosen for the hen’s night out, find an available place for it that fits in.
Budget
The hen’s Do or party should be given a budget so the costs don’t run out of control. Do you want all the attendees to chip in to help pay for the event? Or as the hostess, will you be paying for it all? In order to keep the costs reasonable, it’s a good idea to put a budget together first.
